One of the aims of Common Grounds is to provide a facility which can be used by anyone in the local community...
particularly to support arts and entertainment events.
We have a permanent display of art from local artists. As well as providing you with a pleasant environment, the art is also available to buy (in most cases).
The back room of the café provides extra seating during busy times, but it can also be used by local groups or artists. Most Fridays we’ll have a live band, otherwise throughout the week there may be a reading group, a photography display or even a knitting club.
As a customer you can get involved in any of these activities. They’ll be advertised on the community notice-board in the café; otherwise look at the calendar to find out what is happening this month.
